The Bender-Dosik Parenting Center provides activities, classes and educational opportunities for the whole family. Programs allow you to connect with new families and bond with your little one in a nurturing and hands-on environment. Prenatal. "With each child, the world begins anew." This class offers parents-to-be a traditional prepared childbirth class, plus a support network for welcoming a child into the Jewish community. Couples will learn about Brit Milah (ritual circumcision), baby-naming ceremonies, managing the transition from being partners to parents, building a Jewish home and Jewish and secular resources. |

Your little one will enjoy open-play time in the Parenting Center, followed by Shabbat songs, candelighting, juice and challah. Parent And Community Education (P.A.C.E) is a special group that meets for eight two-hour sessions to discuss a variety of topics including eating, sleeping, crying, attachment, disposition and play. ABOUT THE BENDER-DOSIK PARENTING CENTER:
The Bender-Dosik Parenting Center is made possible by grants from the Bender Foundation and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. A professional staff member provides direct service, information and referral, and coordinates the parenting center’s programs. The curriculum includes formal classes, discussion and support groups, lectures, and ongoing availability of resource and referral materials.
RECREATION STATION
Come and enjoy the indoor children’s play gym located in the Health & Fitness wing. This colorful play equipment includes tunnels, slides, stairs and more. It is designed for children age 2 to 7 only. All children must be supervised at all times by an adult. Parents are responsible for their children’s safety. Free for JCC members; $11 for the general public

ELIE RONEN SCOTT FAMILY GYM
This fabulous, family-friendly program held in the Wasserman Gymnasium features brightly –colored climbing, sliding and rolling toys for children 18 months to 6 years, accompanied by a parent. Tumble, crawl, slide and climb….over, under and through…..up, down and all around! Free to members/$10 a family for the general public.
