Arts Alive is an interactive Jewish educational experience that fosters positive Jewish identity, nurtures a love for Jewish life and learning, and inspires a passion for the arts from a young age. Successfully merging experiential Jewish learning with an arts inspired curriculum, the program facilitates imagination, self-expression, and creativity, offering a multitude of opportunities to explore Jewish holidays, culture, values, language, history and traditions through art, music, dance, movement, drama, storytelling, cooking, and more. Our warm and nurturing setting welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and levels of Jewish experience. Opportunities for parent and family involvement will complement the program and encourage strong connections to the Jewish community-at-large.

We will begin our fourth year in the fall of 2017 and are proud to be the 2016 recipients of the JCCs of North America Kol HaKavod Award for innovative programs that can be replicated at JCCs around the country.

Discount day passes to the fitness center are available for non-member parents during sessions.

Seeds of Arts Alive will incorporate age appropriate learning activities with a focus on Shabbat, holidays, Israel and values. Through Jewish themed stories, art, music, dance and drama, children will have fun while building a positive Jewish identity in a warm and nurturing setting.

Sessions will be led by Tobey Greenberg, an early childhood Jewish educator who has taught in JCC and synagogue based environments for 36 years. Tobey brings her unique approach to experiential Jewish education, providing a warm and nurturing setting where children can thrive.
