Learn Hebrew in a supportive and fun environment through conversation, reading, writing, and more. Multi-levels of Ulpan Ben Yehuda conversational Hebrew and Prayer Book Hebrew are offered in small classes, in both daytime and evening, from the very beginner (Aleph level) to the most advanced (Hay level). Our instructors bring a wealth of ability to our program. Each instructor has years of experience in classroom, private and/or Ulpan settings and each has her own unique style incorporating discussions on relevant Jewish holidays and current events. For more information, contact Debbie Sokobin at 301-348-3760 or dsokobin@jccgw.org.
Conversational Hebrew courses emphasize the everyday language spoken in Israel. Ulpan Ben Yehuda uses the “learn Hebrew in Hebrew” methodology with Hebrew spoken almost exclusively in the classroom. Courses incorporate an individualized approach, concentrating on each student’s needs and focusing on the four language skills – reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension – with emphasis on the latter two skills.
